Stage 1 - Gas Theory and Practical Training
Stage 2 - End of course exam on Generic and Domestic Gas knowledge
Stage 3 - Gas portfolio, evidence building
Stage 4 - Return to complete ACS Assessment


Impartial Examinations are undertaken under the control of UK Certification and this is separate from any Training Activity. 


This course is designed by key employers in the Gas industry. It provides the skills and underpinning knowledge for both basic and advanced gas systems and includes an end-test at the end of the course which includes both a knowledge and practical skills test.


This qualification is aimed at new technicians entering the gas industry who wish to be trained in the skills and knowledge associated with basic and complex gas systems which includes the routine maintenance, reactive maintenance and commissioning and de-commissioning of gas appliances in a variety of working environments.


You can choose the pathway that demonstrates the specialist knowledge and skills you have developed. These could include:


Gas emergencies

Gas installation and maintenance for cookers, tumble dryers, leisure, domestic space heating, wet central heating and domestic warm air

Safe working practices

Planning work activities

Maintaining a safe working environment

Gas Safety


These qualifications can help you to progress in a wide range of domestic gas engineering roles including:


Gas Emergency First Call Operative

Gas Installation Engineer

Heating Engineer

Gas Maintenance Engineer

Gas Service Technician



Cost Details

Cost: £3,500 (Introductory Price)

8-12 Weeks: Confirmation of booking will be provided upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit. The booking deposit is deducted from the total cost. The full course fees are payable at least 2 weeks before the end of the course.
